A protest of unprivileged and disadvantaged, which was started in late 1960s from Naxal bari, has risen slowly but steadily and today has taken the form of wide spread movement better known as Naxalite Movemant. What was launched as a protest of rural poor against the bureaucratic and social set up, though, with limited geographical extent , has become the threat to the democratic set up of our country and a major challenge to our policy makers, jeopardizing the internal security of our country.
India is a largest democracy and in democracy, unlike oligarchy, every one has equal rights. If a particular section is not satisfied it can protest peacefully, form political parties and can contest even elections. Rise of leaders like Lalu, Mulayam, Mayawati etc bears the testimony of miracles in democracy, showing how even the person from disadvantaged section can rise to the horizon of governance. Thus any form of violent revolt from any section against the government can not be allowed and thus amounts to sedition and in no case can be justified by citing irrelevant ideologies and sacrosanct human rights.
Moreover these Naxalite cadres has become the potent threat and can be handy against India especially when we are surrounded by tiny and unstable nations and shrewd China. They should be countered with strong hand and must be crushed, if could not channelized into the main stream of our society by the policies and rulings of democratically elected governments.
seems like naxalites really are terrorists in their opn way. nice thought.
